Ladies League
Our mission is to work for the welfare of our congregation and to assist in sharing the Gospel of Christ.
Our biggest project is our annual chicken supper which raises funds for the church and mission work. We also assemble assorted kits for the needy and distribute fruit baskets at Christmas. We are part of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML), a national organization that sponsors mission projects worldwide. We also support a seminary student each year plus other charitable organizations.
On-going Activities
– Conduct in-gathering of food at Thanksgiving for distribution to those in need
– Collect hats/mittens at Christmas time to help the needy
– Send cookies to the Veterans Administration each December
– Conduct a Card Ministry for Senior Citizens who have birthdays, or are in need of “get well” wishes
– Coordinate funeral lunches for families that have lost a loved one.
